Maintaining shiny, light reflective hair is a full-time job! Why not make our lives easier, and eat, drink and be merry as we execute this full-time job of caring for our tresses? We can make no better investment than by investing in our health by watching what we eat. However, we can orchestrate to solicit the side-effect of shiny hair as we dutifully eat the goodness that nature has to offer!

First let’s look at some key ingredients and its benefits; and then let’s see if we can whip up a recipe that’s not just good for us but good to us in the taste arena.

KEY INGREDIENTS:

Wild-Caught Salmon: Salmon is a rock star in the health-food world and we should all know why by now! It’s those omega-3 fatty acids baby! They are essential building blocks for your body and you need to get them in as your body can’t create them. Those fatty acids keep your scalp healthy and coated with the right amount of oils to give your hair that shine that sparkles!

Broccoli: Who would have ever thought broccoli had any hair benefits? Get ready to be surprised! Brassica seed oil comes from cold-processing broccoli seeds and this amazing oil is an excellent shine agent for your hair. It is very similar to silicone. While it can be applied topically, think of the benefits from ingesting the food in your diet on the regular? You will strengthen your hair from the roots along with all the amazing synergistic minerals and vitamins loaded in Broccoli.

Lemon: Who wants shiny hair without a glowing face to go with it? Lemon acts like a detoxifying agent in your body. I dare you to try a teaspoon every morning with some honey and tell me your face is not lighting up the room after a few days! All that “glowyness” makes it way to your hair follicles as well adding additional punch to your shiny hair diet regimen!

Walnuts: Walnuts along with omega-3, 6 and 9 contain biotin and selenium. Biotin and selenium aids in preventing hair loss. There will be no need for shiny hair if you have no…well hair. Top off your diet with these delicious nuts to ensure you have hair to keep shiny!
