Why we don’t use synthetic fragrances

For example, a study published in the International Journal of Occupational and Environmental Health found that people who work in industries where they are exposed to fragrances on a regular basis (such as perfumes and air fresheners) have a higher risk of respiratory symptoms such as asthma and bronchitis. Another study published in the journal "Toxicological Sciences" found that certain chemicals commonly used in fragrances can act as endocrine disruptors, meaning they can interfere with the body's hormonal system.

Additionally, a study conducted by the Environmental Working Group (EWG) found that many fragrance products contain chemicals that can cause allergies, hormone disruption, and other health problems. However, it's important to note that many of these studies are observational or based on animal models. Further research is needed to fully understand the potential health effects of fragrances. It's also important to note that the toxicity of fragrances can vary depending on the specific ingredients used and the amount of exposure.
